I tried the polyphasic sleep schedule for two weeks but I had little to no success with it. The first week I could keep it together, and I even bought an new adjustable bed to improve my sleep quality but by the end of the second week I was suffering from sleep deprivation.

I do find this whole thing interesting, back in college I learned that REM cycles are 90 minutes long and that you can get by with much less sleep if you just sleep in 90 minute increments, then you wake up during surface sleep and your body isn't traumatized by waking up (which makes you tired). Anyway, ever since then I've been sleeping about 6 hours a night and I really enjoy it. In fact, if I go more than 7 hours sleeping I usually feel awful and I've learned not to sleep in.

So how is it working for you?
