@Bryan

Those are both very attractive suggestions, thanks! Concerning my desktop bg, right you are! Good eye, I'm a huge fan of Museo, I used the 700 weight on that. I'm using it in my redesign as it's license supports the use of @font-face, and it's sexy.

Thanks for your feedback, I was actually on your site reading your latest post, good stuff man!

I personally thing that Archer has a beautiful "a" along with a lot of it's other letters (i'm in love with the font in case you can't tell from my site).

Another slab serif "a" that i like is Caecilia. that font is also great

I think your desktop background uses Museo Serif right? that font has a great "a" as well.

Are you going to post what you come up with for your wall art?

Hope those help! Thanks for the follow and nice site.

Zack,

Funny you said those, I've actually included all of them in my initial mock up... =) Great minds think alike I suppose!

I've decided on including both sans and serifs, this is a showcase of the letter 'A' and the range of possibilities to display it. And, I'm of the opinion that both are beautiful in their own right.

Ya, I love that invite idea you mocked up. The ampersand is a lovely character, but after some serious thought I've decided to go with "a" (it being the start of the alphabet seems only fitting for me to lead off my apartment series with it).

Thanks for the input, it is greatly appreciated!

Arno Pro would be one, it looks sweet when analyzed one character at a time.

American Typewritter also seems like it would make a great decorative font. I've been wanting to use it on a wall somewhere for awhile.

And I'll give Georgia a shout out.

Basically, imho, sans-serif is out for apartment decorating, serif is in.

And don't limit yourself to letters! '&' looks hella sweet blown up. http://www.zacharyandbethany.com/redesign/?p=165 for reference.
